Among the 1,300 graduates who will celebrate earning their degrees during the 2023 spring UCCS Commencement ceremonies, 11 are UCCS staff and family.
Staff who will earn degrees as part of the spring class of 2023 include:
- Michelle Prose, Senior Instructor in English, earning a Master of Business Administration
- Kristen LaRoy, Student Support Specialist in the Office of the Dean of Students, earning a Master of Arts in Leadership in Education
- Chelsea Lawson, Senior Instructor in English, earning a PhD in Education Leadership Research and Policy
- Jeanette Dias, Assistant Dean for Internal Operations, earning a PhD in Education Leadership Research and Policy
- Paige Whitney, Assistant Dean for Interprofessional Education, Senior Clinical Instructor, and Director of the Center for Active Living, earning a PhD in Education Leadership Research and Policy
- Jesica Whittaker, Admissions Counselor, earning a Master of Arts in Leadership in Education
- Alisha Meyer, Graduate School Student Engagement and Retention Coordinator, earning a Master of Arts in Leadership in Education
- Jesse Perez, Director of the Excel Languages Center, earning an Ed.D. in Leadership for Educational Equity, Executive Leadership from the University of Colorado Denver
Relatives earning degrees include:
- Matthew Jones, husband of Lisa Jones in the Office of the Dean of Students, earning a Master of Business Administration
- Michael Scott, husband of Bailee Jones Scott in the Development Office, earning a Master of Arts in History
- Anna Garner, daughter of Clay Garner, Deputy Chief of UCCS Police, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology
