UCCS community invited to 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Service and Action

“Everyone can be great because everybody can serve,” spoke Martin Luther King, Jr. in a call to service. The UCCS community can answer that call during the UCCS MLK Days of Service and Action, a three-day series of events to be held from Feb. 1-3, 2023.

The UCCS MLK Days of Service and Action will kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 1 with a keynote address from Chet Sisk, a Futurist, inspirational speaker, author and founder of Universal Basic Resources. The keynote address will be followed by an interactive workshop with Sisk.

The UCCS MLK Days of Service and Action are inspired by the federal holiday in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and are a way for UCCS to invest in the health and harmony of its community. Participants can volunteer for service projects that connect to the broader Colorado Springs community and participate in educational workshops focused on activism, advocacy and King’s teachings.

Events throughout the week are free and open to all UCCS students, staff, faculty, alumni, and affiliated friends and family. To receive reminders for upcoming events and workshops, RSVP for the series.
