UCCS granting paid time off Wednesday, November 23

Governor Polis recently awarded a Governor’s holiday, which UCCS applied to Nov. 23, 2022. UCCS will be granting one more day of paid time off for faculty and staff this month on Wednesday, Nov. 23, so you can take time to focus on your families, friends, and personal well-being without needing to use vacation time. In all, the university is providing paid time off from Wednesday, Nov. 23, through Friday, Nov. 25, to coincide with the national holiday that week.

Essential personnel, please check with your supervisor before making final holiday plans. Supervisors are required to provide information regarding employees whose work is essential during this closure to their respective Vice Chancellor. Questions regarding scheduling of essential personnel holidays can be directed to Robynne Dahl, Program Assistant for Human Resources.

Human Resources has added eight hours (prorated for anyone less than a 100% appointment) for the Governor’s Holiday to all eligible employees’ calendar in MyLeave. Please remove any pre-planned vacation or sick time from the November 23 date. Please verify leave amounts taken on your final timesheet.

Thank you, Governor Polis, for this additional paid time off!
