The UCCS women’s basketball team will take a five-game winning streak into the 2014 RMAC Shootout as the eighth seed and will face top-seeded Colorado Mesa in the quarterfinals on March 4. Tip-off from Brownson Arena in Grand Junction, Colo., will be at 7 p.m.The Mountain Lions fell 64-46 to the Mavericks in the only meeting this season on Jan. 10. UCCS started the game on a 10-0 run, but couldn’t hold with Colorado Mesa. The Mavericks fell for the first time this season at Fort Lewis in the regular season finale.
It’s the third straight playoff appearance for the Mountain Lions. UCCS fell by two points to Colorado Christian in the quarterfinals last season and advanced to the semifinals in 2011-12.
The game will be available for fans who are unable to attend with live stats through the CMU Sports Information Office and a live video streaming through America One Sports. Season passes for America One do not carry over to the postseason tournament.
