The William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center will enter full operations with the start of the fall semester Aug. 24, and the public is invited to celebrate in a virtual grand opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and registration can be done online.
Jon Karroll will host the one-hour event. Viewers will be taken on a tour of the new facility, hear comments from leaders from UCCS and Centura Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, and be able to participate in a question-and-answer session.
The William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center is a partnership between UCCS and Centura Health that is designed to be a laboratory of excellence, facilitating collaboration between UCCS faculty and students, and Centura Health’s medical providers and clinical experts. It is the first facility of its kind to integrate undergraduate and graduate education with clinical practice and research in a sports medicine and performance environment.
