Legendary musician Sam Bush comes to Colorado Springs Feb. 28

Award-winning and multi-faceted musician Sam Bush will perform his signature fusion of bluegrass, jazz, rock, blues and funk in a 7 p.m. performance Feb. 28 at the Ent Center for the Arts. Known as the “King of Telluride” and one of Colorado’s favorite musicians, Sam Bush won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association and was named Mandolin Player of the Year by the Bluegrass Music Association four times. He has won multiple Grammy awards and has received high praise from critics over his entire 30-year career.

“We are excited that the King of Telluride is coming down the mountain to the Springs,” said Aisha Ahmad-Post, director of the Ent Center for the Arts. “Sam Bush is Colorado’s favorite bluegrass musician for good reason, and this will be one of the highlights of the year at the Ent Center.”

The UCCS Presents Artist Series brings the world to Colorado Springs by leveraging the Ent Center for the Arts to connect world-class performers with the people of southern Colorado. Founded in 2018, the Artist Series features emerging and venerated musicians, dancers, and live performance experiences.
