Hailed as “fresh as a spring bouquet” by the New York Times, Kat Edmonson will bring her vocal talents to the Chapman Foundations Recital Hall at the Ent Center for the Arts for a 7 p.m. Valentine’s Day performance. Tickets are on sale through the UCCS Presents Box Office online, by phone at (719) 255-3232 and at tickets@uccspresents.org.

Edmonson’s new album “DREAMERS DO” will be released Feb. 7. Her 2018 album “Old Fashioned Girl” was inspired by the classic movies of the 1940s and her live performances reflect the energy and nostalgia of that era with a modern twist.

“Kat Edmonson’s vocals are beautiful and incomparable. I can’t wait to see what Kat does next and am thrilled to introduce this rising star to Colorado Springs.,” said Aisha Ahmad-Post, director of the Ent Center for the Arts.

Edmonson has earned top spots on the Billboard jazz charts and appeared in multiple film and soundtracks and on NPR, “Austin City Limits” and “A Prairie Home Companion.”

The UCCS Presents Artist Series brings the world to Colorado Springs by leveraging the Ent Center for the Arts to connect world-class performers with the people of southern Colorado. Founded in 2018, the Artist Series features emerging and venerated musicians, dancers, and live performance experiences.
