Wehrman participates in White House discussions

Joe Wehrman, assistant professor, College of Education, and chair of the Department of Counseling and Human Services, visited the White House Aug. 21 to participate in discussions about the Affordable Care Act and mental health. The meetings focused on the mental health benefits in the health care law including expanded mental health and substance abuse disorder benefits. The law will also require new health plans to cover preventive services such as depression screenings for adults and behavioral assessments for children at no additional cost.
