Holiday event celebrates campus success, sweaters

The campus holiday celebration drew one of the largest crowds in recent history to the Upper Lodge Dec. 11.

The event featured an ugly holiday sweater contest with prizes awarded for the worst sweater.

The winners were

•  Best Overall Sweater: Ellen Burkart, assistant director, Office of Student Retention and First Year Experience.
•  Best Winter Themed Sweater: Nan Cornella, customer service coordinator, University Center.
• Most Jolly Sweater: Hariett Napierkowski, senior instructor, College of Education.
• Most Realistic Sweater: Taryn Bailey, graduate recruitment specialist, Graduate School
• Ugliest Sweater: Barbara Gaddis, executive director, Office of Student Retention and First Year Experience.
• Best in the Vest: Philip Denman, social media and communication specialist, University Advancement.
