Faculty, staff and students will don UCCS gear and walk en masse from Summit Village to Mountain Lion Stadium at 4 p.m. Oct. 5 as part of the university’s Homecoming celebration.
UCCS community members participating in “The March” will gather in the housing quad between Telluride and Steamboat Houses before heading down Austin Bluffs Parkway. Upon completing their march, participants will attend a brief tailgate with music, food and drinks, followed by the men’s and women’s soccer games. Free t-shirts will be provided to students who participate in the event.
“The March is a great way for faculty, staff and students to show their pride and spirit for UCCS, and to support our athletic programs,” Brad Bayer, executive director, Student Life and Leadership, said.
At 5 p.m., UCCS and Colorado Christian University will compete in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s soccer match with a special halftime performance, followed by the women’s game at 7:30 p.m.
