Library to host discussion with former governor during Homecoming

Former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm will present a lecture highlighting Intergeneration Month at 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Kraemer Family Library, third floor.

Lamm’s lecture, “Using and Abusing our Children’s Credit Cards,” will focus on how America can successfully relearn and reestablish the virtues that made it strong in the first place.

Intergeneration Month was founded in 2000 by Sandy Kraemer, former CU Regent and current UCCS Ambassador, to encourage people to reach out and connect generations.

“Good relations between the generations, at the personal all the way to the national and international policy levels, are essential for a peaceful and just society,” Hans Post Uiterweer, volunteer event coordinator, Kraemer Family Library said. “Being aware of the major and minor intergeneration issues affecting all of us is the first step to such a society.”

Lamm is one of three guest speakers to take part in “Between the Generations: the good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The other two speakers include Kraemer, and Corinne Harmon, assistant professor, College of Education.
