Labor Day barbeque welcomes out-of-area students

The Division of Student Success hosted a barbeque for new freshmen on Sept. 1.

Students new to UCCS and the Colorado Springs community were invited to spend Saturday afternoon with university administrators at the Heller Center.

The barbeque allowed freshman that did not go home for the five-day break a chance to meet in a social setting.

“This is a part of our ongoing effort to help students make the transition into the UCCS community and connect with other students,” Homer Wesley, vice chancellor, Student Success and Enrollment Management, said.
