Great ideas should be shared

Sharing ideas about how to improve CU could net faculty or staff members an award ranging from $500 to $2,000 as part of the CU Shared Practices Program.

Cindy Corwin, director, Human Resources, recently encouraged faculty and staff to participate in the shared practices program, a recognition program designed to spur the creative processes of CU employees. Now in its second year, the program is an initiative of the Office of the University Controller. The initiative encourages employees who have made changes in their individual work areas to share them more broadly so that other departments can implement them.

Past ideas include efficiencies in computer ordering, creating templates for budget reports, electronic filing of reports and providing continuing education in house. For more information about the program, visit https://www.cu.edu/controller/initiatives/cusp.
