Robert von Dassanowsky, professor, Department of Languages and Cultures, and Department of Visual and Performing Arts, was the keynote German speaker on developments in contemporary Austrian literature and new wave film at the Annual Kentucky Foreign Language Conference April 21 at the University of Kentucky.
April 26-29, Dassanowsky will accept his new role as president of the Austrian Studies Association and moderate at the organization’s international conference in Long Beach, Calif.
On June 7, he will present “Finding Europe in a Deconstruction of Humanities: Digitalization and Posthumanism as Tool or Totalization?” at the Humanities and the Contemporary World Symposium at the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts in Podgorica.
