Monitor on Psychology includes UCCS faculty

Dan Segal, professor, Department of Psychology, and Sandy Wurtele, professor, Department of Psychology, were cited in the April 2012 Monitor on Psychology, a publication of the American Psychological Association.

In “A Boost for Integrated Care,” Segal describes the UCCS Ph.D. in psychology training program. That program is funded by a $139,000 Graduate Psychology Education grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to address needs of older adults by integrating behavioral health services into primary care.

In “The Case Against Spanking,” a study on the effects of physical punishment on children published in “Child Abuse & Neglect” by Dominique Simons and Wurtele, was cited.
