Grab your running shoes, briefcase or audit bag and join the Small Business Development Center as it hosts a 5K gravity run Oct. 29.
The Small Business Gravity Run will begin at 8 a.m., Oct. 29, near Building 20, home to the Small Business Development Center. The 5K “fun run” is mostly downhill and will end at BJ’s Brewhouse in the University Village Colorado Center, 5150 N. Nevada.
Businesses are encouraged to form teams of three or more to participate in the Gravity Run. Costumes are encouraged for runners, walkers, dogs, and teams. Prizes will be given for best individual costume and best team costume.
There will be an after race party at BJs Brewhouse that will include music, food, door prizes, awards, and sponsor booths. BJ’s Brewhouse will provide light breakfast items and a free beer or soda to each runner over 21. Gatorade will provide water.
An awards ceremony will begin at 9:20 a.m. Awards include first, second and third place for men and women runners, fastest three-person team, and costume awards.
Parking is free at University Village Center. After checking in, participants will receive a goodie bag and a shuttle ride to the starting line.
