Brand standards get update

Examples of logo extensions using the old and new standardsAfter receiving requests from the Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs campuses of the university, several changes in the CU Brand Standards were recently approved.

The changes affect logo extensions for units and department. The changes were approved by a group with representatives from each CU campus and chaired by Ken McConnellogue, associate vice president, University Relations, CU System.

The revised logo extension architecture allows university departments to have a more dominant position, mimics the standards for web mastheads, follows pre-existing logo architecture standard and is consistent between the campuses. The new architecture replaces previous logo extensions and is meant to be used on marketing and promotional materials.

Details, including technical specifications, are available on pages 18 and 19 of the updated UCCS Brand Identity Standards, available at www.uccs.edu/brand.
