Among the topics to be discussed June 21 are diversity reports from each CU campus. For UCCS, quantitative highlights from the report include increases in the number of African American, Latino students, Native American and Asian American students. Minority students are now 22 percent of UCCS undergraduates and 28 percent of new Colorado resident freshmen. UCCS also boasted its highest enrollment of low-income students — 34 percent — and a 66 percent retention rate of low-income students.

Additionally, the number of minority assistant professors increased from 13 percent to 22 percent last year, according to the report.
