Benefit plan enrollment begins soon

2011-12 Benefits Open Enrollment posterOpen enrollment for the 2011-12 plan year begins at 8 a.m. May 2, and ends at 5 p.m. May 27. Online enrollment begins at 8 a.m. May 11.

Decisions that could impact open enrollment are still being finalized, according to Mark Gelband, manager, Publications and Records Administration, Payroll & Benefits Services. That information will be presented in a future CU System Faculty & Staff Newsletter.

PBS encourages employees to review all available options, attend an open enrollment session, and ask questions.

PBS benefits professionals will explain what’s new with the plans and how to enroll during campus sessions the week of May 9. Sessions at UCCS are scheduled for May 11 in the University Center Theater. Faculty and exempt professionals sessions are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., classified staff at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and retirees and surviving spouses at noon.

Representatives from the university’s and state’s medical, dental, life, disability and cafeteria plans will be available to meet with employees to explain plans and services at insurance carrier fairs during the week of May 9. The carrier fair at UCCS is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 11 in UC room 303.
