MOSAIC recognizes diversity leadership

The Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness and Community recently recognized graduating seniors, student organizations, staff and faculty this week for efforts to promote diversity.

At a May 2 year-end awards banquet and graduation reception, 13 individuals and organizations were honored for their commitment and promotion of diversity at UCCS.

The event began with a welcome from student leaders John Szpyrka and Jesse Perez, and Regina Lewis, a current UCCS Ph.D. student and associate dean at Pikes Peak Community College, spoke. Graduating seniors were presented with a special MOSAIC stole to wear at graduation and awards were announced.
