More UCCS students enrolled for the summer semester and in more classes, according to official census reports released today by the Office of Admissions and Records.
A total of 2,933 students enrolled for summer courses, a 94 student or 3.3 percent headcount increase from last year totals, according to Steve Ellis, executive director, Student Systems. Those students enrolled in an average of 5.97 credit hours, bringing the total credit hours for the summer semester to 17,523, an increase of 1,034 or 6.3 percent from last year.
“This is an important, and positive, start for the new academic year,” Ellis said. “I greatly appreciate the efforts of many faculty and staff who made it possible for these students to enroll.”
