A one-day spring break blizzard shut down the UCCS campus starting at 1 p.m. March 23.
UCCS announced the campus closure about 11:45 a.m. March 23 due to hazardous weather. Classes and activities scheduled after 1 p.m. that day were cancelled.
More than a foot of snow fell on parts of northern Colorado Springs and El Paso County, with winds causing drifting and other problems.
UCCS classified and administrative staff and 12-month faculty who were not already using vacation or other leave should report the campus closures as partial day administrative leave.
