Regents approve 21 faculty sabbaticals

IMG_1211The CU Board of Regents approved sabbaticals for 21 UCCS faculty members during a Feb. 18 meeting on campus.

Those whose applications were approved are:

  • Dick Carpenter, professor, College of Education, academic year 2016-17.
  • Tim Chamillard, associate professor, College of Engineering and Applied Science, fall 2016.
  • Minette Church, associate professor, Department of Anthropology, College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, academic year 2016-17.
  • Dale DeBoer, associate professor, Department of Economics, College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, spring 2017.
  • Tabatha Farney, associate professor, Kraemer Family Library, fall 2016.
  • Monique French, associate professor, College of Business, fall 2016.
  • Edie Greene, professor, Department of Psychology, College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, spring 2017.
  • Lisa Hines, associate professor, Department of Biology, College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, academic year 2016-17.

After six years of service to the university on regular full-time appointment, a tenured member of the faculty is eligible for a sabbatical assignment. It is expected that the faculty member will use the sabbatical to enhance scholarly teaching competence and potential for service to the university and advance departmental program goals.
