UCCS hosts Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference quarterfinals, advances to semifinals

The Women’s Basketball team beat Regis University 90-72 and will advance the RMAC Semifinals where they will take on No. 3 seed Colorado Christian. Tip off is at 5 p.m. March 6 at Colorado Mesa University.

The Men’s Basketball team will also advance to the RMAC Semifinals after a 82-70 victory against Colorado Mesa University. They will face Adams State College at 5 p.m. March 6 at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The game be telecast for Comcast Xfinity customers along the Colorado Front Range on XFINITY channel 105 and 900 (HD).

UCCS will host two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference quarterfinal games March 3 at the Gallogly Events Center.

The No. 2 seed UCCS Women’s Basketball team will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., against No. 7 seed Regis University. UCCS Men’s Basketball earned the No. 3 seed, and will host No. 6 seed Colorado Mesa University at 8 p.m. UCCS is advising all fans of the following process for ticketing for these games.

Athletic department officials are expecting all tickets to be claimed by Monday afternoon. The games will be shown in Berger Hall for free for fans unable to secure a ticket for the game.

  • UCCS will purchase 1,000 tickets for UCCS students who present a valid ID. Those tickets will be made available at 4 p.m., on Tuesday at the Berger Hall tailgate. The first 750 students will also receive a free playoff t-shirt.
  • UCCS has made 100 tickets available to each of the visiting teams, and instructions have been sent to those athletic departments.
  • UCCS has provided instructions to those groups who may purchase advance tickets before general public sales begin.
  • General public tickets go on sale at noon  Monday, March 2. Any tickets remaining from the visitor’s block and from the advance block will be released on a first-come, first-serve basis at UCCSTickets.com.
  • The only complimentary tickets are for UCCS students because donors have covered the costs for the first 1,000 students to attend at no charge. No other complimentary tickets are available for boosters, faculty, staff, alumni, RMAC pass holders, or any other group outside of the first 1,000 UCCS students.

Both games will be telecast for Comcast Xfinity customers in Colorado. The women’s game will be carried on Comcast Channel 20 in Colorado Springs. The men’s game will be broadcast on Comcast Entertainment Television on channel 105 throughout the Front Range.
