Herrera work to be performed

Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, Denver, will produce a staged reading of “Pearl of the Antilles” by Andrea Herrera, professor, Women’s and Ethnic Studies Program, on July 11. “Pearl of the Antilles” chronicles the lives of several generations of Cuban women including one living in exile in the United States. The recent thawing of U.S.-Cuba relations generated renewed interest in the work.
