Comcast to carry men’s basketball game

rp_primary_17Fans who are not able to make it to the Gallogly Events Center for Friday night’s men’s basketball game against Metropolitan State University can watch it live on Comcast Channel 105.

Brian Roth, the color analyst for Colorado State football and men’s basketball radio broadcasts, will provide play-by-play action. Marty Cesario, a veteran of Colorado high school and NCAA championship events, will be the color analyst.

Friday’s game will feature No. 5 UCCS and No. 7 MSU Denver in the first game between top 10 national opponents on the UCCS campus. It will be only the second game between national top 10 college basketball opponents in the history of Colorado Springs for any division, with the first coming 10 years ago between No. 1 MSU Denver and No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney in the 2004 RMAC Shootout Championship game at the Broadmoor World Arena.

Friday will be a rematch of the 2014 RMAC Shootout Championship game and the first round of the 2014 NCAA Division II National Tournament game, where MSU Denver won both games by a combined 10 points. UCCS is undefeated on the season with an 8-0 record while MSU Denver is 6-1 with its only loss to Florida Southern, the third-ranked team in the National Association of Basketball Coaches poll.

Tickets are still available at UCCSTickets.com. Online ticket sales will close at noon. Tickets at the door will begin at 4:30 p.m.
