Photo feature: Homecoming brings spirit to UCCS

Homecoming 2014 was a success with activities ranging from a UCCS spirit rally,  casino night and annual march and tailgate prior to the men’s and women’s soccer games Sept. 18-21.

According to Stephen Cucchiara, assistant director, Office of Student Activities, a record number of students and community members attended events.

195 students participated in The March from the Housing Quad to Four Diamonds to watch the men’s and women’s soccer teams open the 2014 conference season at Mountain Lion Stadium. The women’s team won its game against Adams State University  by a score of 3-2. The men’s team lost its game against Metropolitan State University of Denver  in double overtime by a score of 1-2.

After the games, more than 660 students and community members roasted s’mores and drank hot chocolate during the bonfire.

On the last night of the Homecoming celebrations, 1,212 students and their dates transformed Gallogly Event Center into a dance hall while Berger Hall offered professionally dealt casino games.
