The UCCS Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) is launching an Artificial Intelligence (AI) persona to aid in the recruitment of prospective students.
The persona will act as a dedicated guide, available 24/7 to answer questions and offer support to students thinking about coming to the UCCS campus. The AI tool will be there for students from their first moment of interest in the university all the way through to enrollment.
Enrollment is currently holding a student naming contest to select the name of the AI persona.

This unprecedented level of personalization ensures that every student feels valued and supported throughout their search process, enhancing their overall experience at our university.”
A major benefit of the tool is its immediacy, as the AI program will be available at any time during the day or night. Prospective students can connect with it via phone, email or text message.
The AI program will be trained based on interviews done with UCCS faculty, staff and students and will be able to answer questions about FAFSA, classes and programming, campus activities and more.
