Teaching Professor will go over the history of the trail system here on UCCS, the trails masterplan, and talk about Colorado Springs open space. This walk is moderately strenuous (not accessible to those with mobility aids).

Telling Your Story with Interactive Mapping Tools

- The advent of web mapping applications such as instant apps, dashboards, and story maps empowers you with configurable tools through which you can communicate the results of your research, and use them for instruction. Join Geographer and Educator Joseph Kerski for immersion in a selection of these tools in an interactive hands-on workshop. This lecture/workshop is most appropriate for any faculty, students, or staff using or thinking about using Story Maps and their other online tools.

Ent Center Artist Series: Nobuntu A Cappella Quartet
Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. | Chapman Foundation Recital Hall
- Nobuntu, the female a cappella quartet from Zimbabwe, has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro Jazz to Gospel. The ensemble’s concerts are performed with pure voices, augmented by minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as the Mbira (thumb piano), and authentic dance movements.
