Chancellor receives United Way award

Pam Shockley-Zalabak, chancellor, received the S. Jerrard “Jerry” Smith Community Service Award from Pikes Peak United Way during a June 3 lunch at The Broadmoor.

The award is named for the late United Way CEO who introduced the 2-1-1 assistance line and started the process for the Quality of Life indicators. The award goes to “an individual whose involvement in public policy and civic issues lead to the growth and betterment of the Pikes Peak region.”
