UCCS faculty and staff can mold the future of downtown Colorado Springs.

Brian Burnett, senior executive vice chancellor, Administration and Finance, and chair of the Downtown Partnership Board of Directors, encouraged faculty and staff to share opinions about downtown by taking a survey. The results will be shared with an urban planning firm, Progressive Urban Management Associates. The firm was hired to help Colorado Springs capitalize on national trends and to set local priorities.

“The future of downtown and the future of the campus are linked,” Burnett said. “This is an opportunity for faculty and staff to say what they want in center of their city.”

The brief survey asks respondents to rate factors in improving downtown, vision for downtown and frequency of visits in addition to basic demographic data. The survey will close June 6.
