The CARE Team goes above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure our students are receiving the support needed to get through whatever issues they may be struggling with. They have been working tirelessly to manage the increasing number of referrals being received this year. Their efforts often go unnoticed because of the interventions they put in place to keep students safe and well. Please know how much your efforts are appreciated!!!

Colby and Jasmine joined the Event Services office at the beginning of September and have quickly become an integral part of the team. They had zero hesitation diving in headfirst to help pick-up the pieces after having been short-staffed for months and continue to provide exceptional customer service to their clients. They are a great addition to the team. Thank you, Colby and Jasmine!

Thank you for your support and assistance with the LAS Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for TCID and WEST on Oct. 26th!  Without your quick-thinking and creative problem-solving skills, I couldn’t have overcome our “behind-the-scenes” challenges that day. I can’t tell you how important this type of comradery and support is between staff members, and I am so appreciative to be able to work with two professionals such as yourselves.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible job Les and Rick did with the installation of the new hose system at the UCCS Farm greenhouse. Their hard work and dedication have truly made a significant impact on our facility, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The attention to detail and expertise they demonstrated throughout the installation process is truly commendable. The new system not only meets but exceeds our expectations, providing an efficient and reliable solution for our greenhouse watering needs. It’s evident that your commitment to excellence has greatly contributed to the success of this project.Your teamwork and professionalism did not go unnoticed, and the positive atmosphere you brought to the job site made the entire process enjoyable. The UCCS Farm greenhouse now stands as a testament to your skills and the high standards you uphold.

I wanted to take a moment to give a huge ‘shout out’ to Tristan and Danny.  I’ve recently experienced a couple of department shipments that were incorrectly shipped , and both have gone the extra mile in assisting me with picking up the packages and getting them to the correct place. Tristan is always smiling and seems to truly care about his job, I have never sensed any frustration and he is always highly positive ready to go the extra mile. He has always graciously lend extra hands where need with no complaining, his good attitude shows to all.  Just wanted to make sure you were aware of his hard work and going above and beyond. The same goes for Danny – a very nice, knowledgeable employee who has also helped me greatly! Danny is very quick and thorough and on the ball with completing his duties quickly. These 2 employees have demonstrated excellence in their fields!

To: Don Pawl
From: Ann Amicucci

Don constantly goes above and beyond in connecting library patrons to needed resources through the Interlibrary Loan program. I recently needed to access a source but thought it would be unlikely that I could. I put in an Interlibrary Loan request, and not only was Don able to get the source for me, I had it in less than 24 hours! Thank you, Don, for all that you do to support researchers on campus!

To: Jayda Moore
From: Jill McAllister

Jayda happened to be in the right place when one of the cooks at Roaring Fork was choking on a piece of meat. He walked outside to see if he could get the piece of meat to move and realized that he needed help. As he walked back into the kitchen Jayda saw him, dropped what she was doing and did the Himelick on him. He said that she saved his life. DHS is so grateful that Jayda was able to help our cook.

To: Kayla Gronseth Boyer
From: Racquel Paywa

Kayla has been a tremendous help in all things eComm. She is so great at answering my many questions, willing to look into any issues that might arise, and is always so kind and collaborative. Her dedication to making the eComm tools approachable and helpful is tremendous, and we’re so fortunate to have her at UCCS. Thank you for all that you do!

To: Mariness Falcon
From: Sarah Jane Baker

Mariness has one of the busiest jobs on campus. Despite this, she is always on top of things and responds to me quickly. UCCS/Construction is lucky to have her!

To: Mel Getz
From: Polly Knutson

Thank you to Mel and the outstanding Grounds team at UCCS for their exceptional efforts in taking on the challenging project of removing a substantial pile of debris from the UCCS Farm. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have not gone unnoticed. Mel’s leadership and the team’s collective determination were truly commendable throughout this project. They tackled the task with enthusiasm, efficiency, and a level of professionalism that exceeded expectations. The removal of the debris not only speaks volumes about their work ethic but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to maintaining the beauty and functionality of our campus.

From: Scott Kupferman

Rachel very kindly took time out of her busy day to guest lecture in my course. She shared her wonderful expertise and experiences, along with answered student questions. Following Rachel’s guest lecture, my students mentioned how much they learned/benefited from her content. She represents the best of our Mountain Lion community!

To: Shannon Rogers
From: Anon.

Shannon has become an even more integral part of the UCCS Event Services team in the last couple of months. Stepping into the Interim Director role, she has accomplished more in the last two months than in the last two years, getting the office organized and focused on becoming a customer service hub of campus. In addition, her positive attitude and joyful nature has boosted the morale of the entire team. Thank you, Shannon, for all you do!
