UCCS to expand and grow online degree programs

The UCCS Online Operations office announced an internal Request for Proposal (RFP) for new or expanded online academic programs poised for enrollment growth this week.

Recent research has shown that while in-person enrollments have been dropping, online programs are showing growth nationwide. UCCS has identified online programs as an area of focus to become more competitive and attract more students, and a more diverse population of students. Expanding our online programs reflects the national shift in higher education and positions UCCS for long-term success in an evolving education landscape.

The Online Operations office encourages all interested departments to submit proposals aligned with our goals. They are particularly interested in proposals that address the following areas:

  • Scalability
  • Speed to enrollment
  • Marketability
  • Commitment to student success

The scope of this RFP includes support from UCCS Online Operations for: marketing, recruitment, enrollment, student support, and instructional design to maximize fully online academic program success.

The deadline for submitting proposals is April 14, 2023. Merit review will occur in April/May with a decision and development planned to begin in late May 2023.

You can view the RFP here.

An information session will be offered on March 20. Please RSVP to Dr. Melinda Lien at [email protected].
