More than 125 CU dignitaries and Colorado Springs community leaders attended a Feb. 19 ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the first UCCS building on North Nevada Ave.
The Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences will house five clinics operating under the banner of UCCS HealthCircle. Services will include a primary care clinic as well as specialized services in nutrition, aging, physical activity and behavioral health.
UCCS faculty and staff are invited to an open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 22. Representatives from each clinic will be available to answer questions while attendees take self-guided tours through the building.
“This is a great opportunity for faculty and staff to check out the newest UCCS building,” Sara Qualls, Kraemer Family Professor of Aging, and director, Gerontology Center, said. “This is where health services and academics will meet, providing wellness, primary care, mental health and family support to our faculty and staff along with community residents.”
Parking will be free in lots 11 and 12 for this event. To see a map of UCCS and its parking lots, please visit www.uccs.edu/map.
