Get a jump start on courses this summer with Introduction to Criminal Justice

Students interested an overview of the criminal justice process and system, and complete an Explore course requirement in Compass Curriculum, can enroll in CJ1001, Introduction to Criminal Justice, starting remotely July 13. To register, students should log into the myUCCS portal and look for CJ 1001-RL1 under the summer course options.  

Led by Kate Angulski, assistant professor of criminal justice, the course will discuss the concepts of crime, deviance and justice, and cover the general theories of crime. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding police, prosecutorial and defense functions, the judicial system, and corrections.
