Too often, a woman’s busy schedule makes it hard to keep a mammogram appointment. In fact, the American Cancer Society cites the top two reasons women give for not getting a mammogram are time and convenience.
The Pink Life Saver, the University of Colorado Hospital’s first mobile mammography unit, is a clinic on wheels that provides breast cancer screening services to women in the metro area. The brightly decorated, 38-foot-long vehicle houses a workstation, waiting area and changing room.
The Pink Life Saver will be at the UCCS Be Colorado health screenings scheduled for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22 at El-Pomar Center. The van will be parked in the loading dock area of the building.
To make an appointment, call (720) 848-1030. Walk-ins are also accepted.
