A week-long Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival will begin with Carnival Day at UCCS Oct. 5.
From 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at locations throughout campus, there will be more than 80 hands-on science activities designed to build community and stimulate young people to consider studies and careers in science.

All events are free and designed for all ages to enjoy.
Festival activities are scheduled from Oct. 5 to Oct. 13 and include downtown science demos, rocket launching, stargazing, Antarctic researchers, science films, beer chemistry, nature exploration, crime lab tours, family science Night, a climbing Mt. Everest talk, a Rubik’s Cube competition, a recycling tour, and the physics of rock climbing.
