Students who graduate from The Colorado Springs School after completing a college directed track will automatically be admitted to UCCS as part of a new agreement.

Homer Wesley, vice chancellor, Student Success and Enrollment Management, completed an agreement with the school in early March. To be guaranteed admission to UCCS, a student from The Colorado Springs School must complete three years of college preparatory curriculum and be in good academic standing.

Each student will be evaluated for admissibility, Wesley said, and admission is not guaranteed into specific programs.

The guaranteed admission agreement was made after a thorough review of The Colorado Springs School’s curriculum and will be in effect for three years.

“We believe that the Colorado Springs School is providing an exceptional educational experience for its students,” Wesley said. “We hope that streamlining the admission process to UCCS will help those students select our university as the place where they continue their studies.”
