Café Scientifique to explore the relationship between science and religion

Are science and religion enemies or partners in education?

The many sides of that question will be discussed during April’s Café Scientifique scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 16 at Clyde's in the University Center.

Mary Ann Cutter, professor, Department of Philosophy, Raphael Sassower, professor, Department of Philosophy, and Jeff Scholes, assistant professor, Department of Philosophy will lead discussion on the past, present and future relationship between the two topics.

During discussion, they hope to explore the origins of the contentious debate, what’s at stake for the parties involved, and what the battle lines are.

Café Scientifique is an informal gathering of scholars and science aficionados who are passionate about debate and friendly discussion with their peers. The event is free and open to the public.

The UCCS Department of Public Safety will provide complementary parking for the event in lots 3 and 4.

Funding for Café Scientifique is provided by UCCS Auxiliary Services.
