Registration goes up $5 on race day. Last year, 135 runners completed the race and raised more than $2,000 for the Ed Burke Memorial Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>The race begins at 9:30 a.m. April 27. The course is mildly challenging for runners, who go from the recreation center to University Hall and back. It is stroller and dog friendly.<\/p>\n<p>Early packet pick up for runners is April 26 from 11 a.m. &#8211; 1 p.m., and from 4-6 p.m. at the front desk of the Gallogly Recreation and Wellness Center. Parking is available in 15-minute spots immediately next to the recreation center in visitor parking in Alpine Garage for $2 per hour, and free on race day. All participants receive a t-shirt, drawstring backpack and race goodies. The winning male and female running receive Nike Running beanies, heating pads and gift certificates.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/giving.cu.edu\/fund\/ed-burke-memorial-scholarship-endowment-fund\">Burke Memorial Endowment Fund<\/a> provides merit-based scholarships for students studying exercise science at UCCS.
