There\u2019s a six word limit to the submissions that Jennifer Hane, director, Office of Alumni Relations, hopes to use to inspire new students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goal of the project is two-fold,\u201d Hane said recently. \u201cWe want to engage alumni in the life of the university and allow current students to provide tips and messages of encouragement to the Class of 2017.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos from UCCS alumni are also being accepted but it\u2019s the words that Hane, who earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in philosophy from UCCS in 2001, finds the most surprising. In such tight confines, some are able to convey action and passion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo things. Opportunities will find you\u201d was one early submission. Another was \u201cStart Speaking. Be Relevant. Have Fun.\u201d A third opined \u201cSuccess is doing what you love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All submissions will be considered for use in the video and Hane will provide a t-shirtas thanks to those who share their thoughts.
