Tens of thousands of Colorado Springs residents lined Tejon St.\u00a0on Dec. 1 to watch the 28th annual Festival of Lights Parade.<\/p>\n

More than 350 UCCS community members enjoyed\u00a0free cocoa, cider, treats and art before and after the parade at\u00a0the UCCS Alumni and Friends Association’s “Alumni Night at the Festival of Lights\u00a0featuring Jay Shinn’s ILLUMINATED” at GOCA 121, 121 S. Tejon.<\/p>\n

During the parade, UCCS faculty, staff and students walked along side a\u00a015-foot UCCS float being towed by a\u00a0Facilities Services truck. The float was\u00a0themed \u201cHome for the Holidays\u201d and included a fireplace, couch and students wearing a mix of UCCS spirit wear and holiday sweaters.<\/p>\n
