Sponsoring organizations attended the final event in Berger Hall, along with key stakeholders from the university. Participants were recognized for successfully completing the program and project and were given a Certificate of Completion by the UCCS College of Business and the program $75K Gold Award.<\/p>\n<p>The UCCS Mini-MBA, a non-degree executive education program offered through the UCCS College of Business\u2019 Office of Professional and Executive Development, was created in response to the business community\u2019s demand for high-level business acumen programs. Students attended classes once a week for 13 weeks at UCCS Downtown, with an additional 75 days to complete the capstone project. Each participant was required to develop a project with a financial impact of at least $75,000 through new revenue streams, cost savings, or a mix of both.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/covington-mini-mba.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-87859\" src=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/covington-mini-mba-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Mini-MBA capstone project presentation\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/covington-mini-mba-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/covington-mini-mba-750x500.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Utilizing the business acumen and tools gained from the program, the 2018-19 UCCS Mini-MBA graduates collectively achieved more $1,844,100 in financial impact within their respective companies. Most of the referring organizations are located in Colorado Springs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very proud of the UCCS Mini-MBA program achievements,\u201d stated Shawna Lippert, director of the Office of Professional and Executive Development. \u201cThe real excitement for us is to witness both transformation in our participants and long-term, measurable financial impact in our community. These professionals learned big-picture business theory, and then applied concepts in significant ways. We are looking forward to the third cohort this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The college is launching its third program cohort, starting Sept. 10, 2019. Classes will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday for 13 weeks in Colorado Springs. All CU alumni, and those who have previously enrolled in executive education courses are eligible for a discount. Additionally, all successful graduates of the UCCS Mini-MBA who choose to pursue a master\u2019s degree in business will not be required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_5921.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-87860\" src=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_5921-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Mini-MBA $75K Gold Award\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_5921-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/IMG_5921-750x500.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\u201cThe UCCS Mini-MBA program is the result of our commitment to producing high-quality business programs that align with the needs from our professional community,\u201d said Stephen Ferris, dean of the College of Business. \u201cWe are so proud of our Class of 2018 graduates and look to our third cohort with confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Registration is currently open for the 2019 UCCS Mini-MBA program.
