The Department of Student Life decided to push back the UCCS memorial to a later day in the semester in order to provide an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to reflect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis memorial reaffirms an unwavering commitment to counter antisemitism, racism and other forms of intolerance that may lead to group-targeted violence,\u201d said Stephen Cucchiara, director, Student Activities and Community Service. \u201cWe are always looking to find ways of remembering history and different cultures, and this provided us an opportunity to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Student Life planted the flags March 11 with the assistance from members of Alpha Sigma Phi, Pi Kappa Phi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
