This year\u2019s celebration will also honor Provost Peg with a Special Chancellor&#8217;s Award and congratulate her on her retirement.<\/p>\n<p>Bacon is scheduled to retire July 1 after 34 years of service to UCCS. Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak cited Bacon\u2019s \u201cextraordinary collaboration and outreach, with faculty, staff, and students with whom she is engaged\u201d as the basis for the award.<\/p>\n<p>The featured awards follow. Winners will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outstanding Teacher Award<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Award for Excellence in Research<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to Diversity and Inclusiveness<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding Instructor Award<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding Staff Award<\/li>\n<li>Special Chancellor\u2019s Award<\/li>\n<li>Chancellor\u2019s Award<\/li>\n<li>Alumni and Friends Award<\/li>\n<li>Campus Sustainability Award<\/li>\n<li>Ron Wisner Human Spirit and Leadership Award<\/li>\n<li>Student Achievement Award<\/li>\n<li>Student Employee of the Year Award<\/li>\n<li>Thomas F.
