State agencies raised nearly $950,000 for 600 Colorado nonprofits, with 29 located in the Pikes Peak region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though we got a late start, we still had a great showing for 2017,\u201d said UCCS chair Shonda Johnson, transfer credit specialist, Degree Audit and Transfer Credit Office. \u201cWe had some great support and I\u2019m thankful for everyone\u2019s help this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>UCCS employees who donated were entered to win donated prizes for gift cards and a free stay at The Mining Exchange. Johnson said she is already working on prizes for the 2018 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The Colorado Combined Campaign has raised nearly $34 million since the first campaign in 1987. UCCS gifts have exceeded $60,000 during the last three years.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 campaign is scheduled to begin in September and run through December.
