Spring 2018 student enrollment grew by 2 percent, or 206 students, to a record 11,572, according to figures released Feb. 1.<\/p>\n

In the past five years, UCCS spring semester enrollment increased by 23 percent or 2,138 students. There were 11,366 students enrolled last spring and 9,434 students who enrolled for the Spring 2013 semester.<\/p>\n

\"Line<\/a>The Office of Institutional Research shared enrollment totals following the Jan. 31 official census.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe campus continues to buck national trends,\u201d Mathew Cox, senior executive director, Enrollment Management, said. \u201cThe increases in enrollment, and specifically of graduate students, are noteworthy and occur because of the cooperative efforts of many.\u201d<\/p>\n

There were 1,956 graduate students who enrolled for the Spring 2018 semester, an 8 percent or 143 student increase from the 1,813 graduate students who enrolled last spring.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate enrollment increased by 1 percent or 63 students. There were 9,616 undergraduate students who enrolled for Spring 2018 compared to 9,553 last year.<\/p>\n

In addition to an increase in the number of students on campus, there was a 1.7 percent or 2,285 hour, increase in student credit hours. Students enrolled in 133,332 credit hours for spring 2018 compared to 131,047 in 2017.<\/p>\n

Next week, Institutional Research will update its website<\/a>\u00a0 with additional details about spring semester enrollment including figures by college, class status and home state or country.<\/p>\n
