The campaign aims to support nonprofit organizations\u00a0across the state, including 29 in the Colorado Springs community.<\/p>\n<p>In the past 30 years, the Colorado Combined Campaign has raised more than $32 million statewide. Last year, UCCS raised more than $21,000 for local nonprofits. This year, the goal is $23,000, according to Shonda Johnson, transfer credit specialist, Degree Audit and Transfer Credit Office. Johnson chairs the UCCS campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign benefits nonprofits of all types, including those focused on animals, children and youth, civil rights and equity, domestic violence, environmental conservation, homelessness and housing, medical health services.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty and staff are invited to give any amount by Dec. 31 for a chance to win gift cards, a free stay at The Mining Exchange, and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means so much for these nonprofits to receive our support,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cOur campus community can really make a big difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Local nonprofits funded by the campaign include Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, Springs Rescue Mission, TESSA, Trails and Open Space Coalition, Pikes Peak United Way and more.<\/p>\n<p>Participants can select which nonprofit they want to support or a general fund to be split up amongst all the organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Employees can donate through payroll deductions, a recurring credit card donation or a one-time donation with cash, check or credit, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipledgeonline.org\/_coloradocombinedcampaign\">online<\/a> or with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coloradocombinedcampaign.org\/uploads\/2\/8\/4\/0\/28407717\/pledge_form_2016.pdf\">paper form<\/a>. Donations are also tax-deductible.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
