Landon Donovan and Becky Sauerbrunn will headline a Nov. 14 ethics in soccer discussions<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A leading Major League Soccer scorer and an Olympic gold medalist are among the luminaries who will discuss \u201cWinning with Integrity\u201d in professional soccer during Nov. 14 panel discussions on campus and in Denver.<\/p>\n

Panelists include Landon Donovan, formerly of Major League Soccer and the U.S. Men\u2019s National Soccer Team; Becky Sauerbrunn, a U.S. Women\u2019s National Soccer Team co-captain, Olympic gold medalist, and FIFA World Cup Champion; Richard Motzkin, noted sports agent and the executive vice president of global soccer for Wasserman Media Group; and P\u00e1draig Smith, interim general manager and sporting director, Colorado Rapids. They will share a behind the scenes look into soccer, the world\u2019s most popular sport, and take questions from the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opportunity to present such a remarkable panel of leaders in the soccer industry to our students and community demonstrates the strength of our partnership with the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at UCCS and the Colorado Rapids,\u201d Eric Olson, interim dean and director of the Sport Management Program, College of Business, said. \u201cI am thrilled that we continue to facilitate both relevant and meaningful conversations about ethics in sport and society and remain a resource and catalyst for this important curriculum.\u201d<\/p>\n

The UCCS College of Business Sport Management Program, along with co-sponsors Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at UCCS and the Colorado Rapids are presenting the event.<\/p>\n

An evening panel will begin at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
