A flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors\u2019 visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations, according to the Centers for Disease Control.<\/p>\n<p>From 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 19 and 1 p.m to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 in University Center 116, the Employee Services Department will sponsor flu shot clinics that are free to CU Health Plan users and covered family members. Those who are not members of CU Health Plans can get the vaccination for $28. Appointments can be made by calling 255-4444. The HealthCircle Primary Care Clinic in the Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences is also an option.
